Frequently Asked Questions

What medical examinations do you offer?

We offer comprehensive aviation medical examinations for Class 2 and LAPL Pilots and Cabin Crew, to ensure pilots meet all necessary requirements for safe flying. We do Medicals for Initials, Renewals and Revalidations, including Instrument Rating Audiograms and ECGs.

How can PnP Aviation help me manage my medical conditions as a pilot?

Dr Jivani provides expert advice on managing medical conditions to support pilots in maintaining their health and fitness for flying. He has access to Specialist Medical Colleagues with experience to make sure the correct advice is given to the pilot.

Do you provide a variety of appointment times?

We normally conduct the Medical Examinations on Friday afternoons. However, if this is a problem, then an alternative day/time can be discussed between the Aviation Medical Examiner and the Pilot

What does a Pilot need to do for a medical?

To be able to conduct this medical you will need to have registered on the CAA portal (which includes confirmation of your ID). Please note the Registration may take up to 10 days

Once registered on the portal, you will need to gain access to Cellma (the Medical System), submit a self assessment medical form, and pay for access to Cellma (this is an annual Cellma charge, paid to the CAA). This has to happen otherwise we will not be able to conduct your medical. We will provide documents from the CAA to help guide you through this process.

What does a Pilot need to bring with them to a medical?

For your Medical, you will need to bring the following:

  1. Photo ID
  2. Your glasses/contacts should you wear them, and you will need to be assessed with/without them.
  3. Your Eyesight Prescription from your opticians
  4. Any Medical Letters from Consultants, if you have a chronic illness requiring Hospital Assessments.
  5. List of any medication you are on.
  6. Complete a Mental Health Questionnaire which we will provide
  7. Cabin Crew will need to submit a Medical Questionnaire which we will provide.
